ENAMEL EP-5 K

Two-component paint material comprising base enamel (suspension of pigments, plasticizers, fillers in the solution of epoxy and urea-formaldehyde resins with the addition of dispersants) and hardener.

Application

To form radiation-resistant, decontaminated surfaces of concrete and metal surfaces, structures, interiors and exterior surfaces of equipment of nuclear power, including in the area of high security.

Color

Wide color range is available. It is possible to select colors by RAL or costumer sample.

Surface preparation:

Remove dust, dirt, oil, iron oxides, rust and other contamination by any mechanical means (the best way to prepare metal surfaces for painting is sandblasting), degrease with organic solvents.

Enamel preparation

• thoroughly mix and filter base of enamel EP-5K;

30 minutes before applying introduce the amine hardener in a ratio of 5 parts by weight of hardener for 100 parts by weight of base, or as indicated in the passport;

thoroughly mix and dilute if necessary to the desired viscosity with solvents R-4, R-5;

use enamel within 7 hours since the moment of preparation.

Coating

Apply enamel in 2-3 layers on surfaces, coated with filler EP-0010К before. Apply subsequent layers of enamel with an interval of 24 hours (till complete drying) after application of each layer.

Application methods:

with brush, roller (relative viscosity of enamel 55-80 с);

pneumatic spraying (relative viscosity of enamel 25-30 с);

airless spraying (relative viscosity of enamel 30-55 с).

Material consumption

Material consumption per one layer on a flat surface primed:

hand method from 160 g/m2;

pneumatic spraying from 200 g/m2;

• airless spraying − from 190 g/m2;

ENAMEL EP-525 K

Two-component paint material comprising base enamel (suspension of pigments, fillers in a solution of epoxy resin in a mixture of organic solvents) and amine hardener.

Application

It is used for coloring previously primed metal and non-metal surfaces to create limited weatherproof coatings, operating in areas with moderately cold climate and humid conditions, the actions of the sea water, and its vapors, and special environments. Dark gray graphite enamel is used for conductive coatings when applied to products from silicone fiberglass. It is also used on nuclear facilities.

Color

Wide color range is available. It is possible to select colors by RAL or consumer sample.

Surface preparation

apply enamel in 2-3 layers on surfaces, coated with primer before. Apply subsequent layers of enamel with an interval of 24 hours (till complete drying) after application of each layer;

• as a primer for metal surfaces, use a layer of primer coating AK-070, EP-0020 or filler EP-0010K, on concrete surfaces − two layers of filler EP - 0010 or EP - 0020.

Application methods

with brush, roller (relative viscosity of enamel 55-80 с);

pneumatic spraying (relative viscosity of enamel - 25-30 с);

airless spraying (relative viscosity of enamel 30-55 с).

Material consumption

Material consumption on a flat surface primed: one layer − from 170 g/m2.

ENAMEL AQUAKOR - 5

Two-component paint material comprising base enamel (suspension of pigments, plasticizers, fillers in the solution of epoxy and urea-formaldehyde resins with the addition of dispersants and corrosion Inhibitors) and hardener.

Application

as an independent coating for corrosion protection of underground pipes;

as facing coating ballast tanks;

as a primer for pipes exposed to condensation.

For coating concrete and metal surfaces inside and outside of buildings and outer surfaces of equipment. The coating is resistant to water to the constant action of water and condensate. The enamel can also be used as a sealant. The coating on wet surfaces is possible.

Color

Remove dust, dirt, oil, iron oxides, rust and other contamination by any mechanical means (the best way to prepare metal surfaces for painting is sandblasting), degrease with organic solvents.

of hardener for 100 parts by weight of base, or as indicated in the passport;

Coating

Apply enamel in 2-3 layers. Apply subsequent layers of enamel with an interval of 24 hours (till complete drying) after application of each layer. Lightly sand the surface before application of each layer.

Try to apply the coating to a dry surface, but when applied to a wet surface the adhesion loss is negligible

FILLER EP-0010К

Mixture of pigments, fillers, plasticizers, epoxy resin in organic solvents and hardener.

Application

Used for leveling (filling) surfaces, worked and not worked with primer, metal and non-metal used in weather conditions and inside of buildings, as a primer for epoxy coating or as an independent. Applied at nuclear facilities.

Color

Red-brown, gray. Other colors of EP-0010К are possible on customer’s sample.

Surface preparation

Remove dust, dirt, oil, iron oxides, rust and other contamination by any mechanical means, degrease with organic solvents.

Filler preparation

• before applying introduce the hardener in a ratio of 4 parts by weight of hardener for 100 parts by weight of filler, or as indicated in the passport;

• thoroughly mix and dilute if necessary to the desired viscosity with solvents R-4 or R-5.

Coating

• apply the prepared filler at ambient temperature from 10°С to 40°С and relative humidity no more than 80%. The temperature of coated surface must be above the dew point;

• drying slows down significantly at temperature lower than 20°С.

Application methods

• with spatula if used as a filler;

• with brush, roller or by spraying if used as primer coat.

Material consumption

• when priming, use - from 113 g/m2 for one layer on metal surface;

• from 167 g/m2 for one layer on concrete surface.
